Will hypnosis block out memories?
I had a very bad falling out with a friend 6 years ago and this person has a real negative effect on me. Although I don’t see them daily, I run into them at times and this always causes me a lot of upset. Not a day goes by when I don’t think about how they hurt me. I have tried counselling and this has not worked. My question is, if I attempt hypnosis, do you think that would be successful in elminating that person from my memory bank? Genuine answers only please. Thanks.
It may help temporarily, but it can’t eliminate the memory–only suppress it. It will come back. Keep going to counseling. You need to figure out how to forgive. Good luck!
