regressive hypnosis
What is the evidence that regressive hypnosis is true?
That's a very difficult question to answer, much less demonstrate any type of security. Since we are in the area of folklore and mythology, I will describe some of my thoughts and analysis that I have on the subject. In particular, I will be talking of a past life regression (PLR) The first time I worked with someone in a PLR was very skeptical. I was not sure either way, if it was true or not. So I did take notes, and later did some checks. As it turned out that I was able to confirm a good amount of information "gathered" in the session. There was a * very * strong correlation between the testing period, and evidence of the records I looked up (mostly genealogy sites) So one part of me was saying, hey this could be something. But the other part of me was saying, well, you could have known that the information or the collected from the same source that I, or by other methods. She had no reason to deceive me I knew, and I told him I would check the information either. It was something I did for my own curiosity. So, I went into this debate, it is true, or was imagined … Thought about it some more, questioned and was a metaphor for something she was trying to solve in their day to day ongoing activities. And I kept thinking, trying to see from all points of views .. The conclusion to which I was, with our present understanding of ourselves and the universe I'm not sure at this point you can ever really prove * * is a skeptic. By all the reasons that could get to the truth, I could come with a reason of the non-truth, and vice versa. Really reached a point where it could not come with an answer. But I thought of something else, and was the question of the right one to be asking? In this context, was having some problems in her life, she really not sure why. There were fears of certain situations that had never experienced, however, those fears were so genuine. After the session right PLR, those fears diminished, and were later completely eliminated. So if you look at the issue again, and ask that in the context of "It's a PLR done with hypnosis you?" Then I would say that I feel we have no knowledge of understanding to make the statement of truth … But I ask you from the context "The PLR Hypnosis provide a positive benefit to your life," then my response to 100% absolutely. So in this context, yes, indeed. So really comes down to the context of the question, and how to ask. The goal, or changes in intention the meaning of the question. So from my point of view, the real / not-real debate can not be answered with our current level of understanding / knowledge. Hence, has become an issue that really does not require much more (although I did not revise from time to time). My address my question is directed to "Is there any positive benefit of the session. "When I ask that question, the real / unreal seems much less important than it first did. In this context, does it really matter if it was of a living past, or whether it was imagined, or simply a metaphor for a problem in their daily lives? So as I say, a difficult question to answer. It is more than one scientific philosophical discussion. With what I know, I also realize how much I do not know, but I know I can not understand how much I do not know do not know. Let me know if you wonder more about "forensic regression (or regression of life today) and I can answer that too. Cheers, Greg — edit: minor spelling and delete e-mail Addy
