The voices that are heard
Julian Jaynes, a Princeton professor, showed how even about 3000 years ago, the human mind worked through automatic, non-introspective commands.
This nature given the bicameral mind was very intelligent, but immersed in the here and now. They have the ability to be objective, introspection, or think in terms of past or future.
The left and right hemisphere

The voices you hear
Auditory commands always sounded like a powerful man's voice. One man said he was like his father giving him orders. Even women who hear the voice of a man authoritiative.
When primitive people were guided by the bicameral mind, not recognized as authoritative voices from within his own brain. It sounded like someone else's voice outside oneself.

But occasionally our intuitive right hemisphere will experience a flash of intuition, together seemingly unrelated pieces of information to make a sudden idea.
This idea will then pass on our right hemisphere in our left hemisphere. This view of the right brain shown on our left hemisphere, the hemisphere that are normally consious and thinking, as coming from outside ourselves.
A person can literally experience an idea and another person talking to them.
Description of how our right brain
Normally, information comes from our right brain in our left brain for analysis. But you can learn to direct contact with the right hemisphere of the brain by the removal of the left and focuses on the right.

Our right brain thinks and perceives only in the here and now.
Our right hemisphere the brain is visual and sensual perceptions collect images, touch, depth perception and spatial organization. One of the great features of this process is that it generates a lot of creativity.
Our right brain can see a full image once a key to originating new and creative ideas.
Our left brain is the target verbal, analytical. You see things in a sequence as the future of the past, present y. Our left brain is very rational and language oriented.
Front only vertical Thinking Thought
In the book The New Think by Edward D. De Bono talks about linear thinking versus thinking vertical. Our left brain thinks in a vertical position. It takes an event and through the logic is based on that fact.
But the thought is much horizontal more right brain. Our right is parallel patterns and associations between seemingly unrelated facts and events.
Our right brain does not build a logical step from one point to another. Is an area of a pattern that is parallel to something else in another area. Then, suddenly, the right may make a connection between what appeared to be a related phenomenon that results in a completely new vision. That's how sudden flashes of creativity comes from our right brain.
Most problems can be solved by our left brain because most problems can be solved through logical step step. However, an unusual problem, or an exceptionally complicated problem, a problem that is beyond the solutions, even after all the facts have been examined employees and objective thought can not be resolved through conventional logic. It is then that our right brain can step in and do a totally unexpected see a connection between seemingly unrelated facts and events.
