Whether you are male or female, young or old, the quitting will have a greater impact on your health than anything you can do. Smoking causes more than 450,000 deaths in the United States each year. About 170,000 of these deaths are due to cancer. If you smoke, you've probably heard about these statistics disturbing as before.

In most cases, smokers are well aware that they are harmful to their health and may shorten their lives. Even with this knowledge, quitting smoking is much easier said than done. Here I'll share my favorite tips for natural stop smoking my patients have resorted to abandon cigarettes for good.

Why stop?

To kick successfully used, it is crucial to find reasons for quitting that are meaningful to you. It is true that you will greatly improve your health long term. You will also greatly reduce your risk of lung and thirteen other types of cancer, heart disease, stroke, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Even if you have smoked for decades, it's not too late to reduce these health risks.

For some patients, a healthy body and a longer life expectancy are not enough to make them act. I know it can be difficult to assess the benefits that does not give you instant feedback of health. But take my word that if you give up cigarettes today, you feel healthier in effect by tomorrow. You have more energy and concentration. Your sense of smell will improve and your breath will be fresh. You will be able to breathe easier in the exercise of physical activity.

There are even more reasons to quit that motivate my patients, even more reluctant. For some, the vanity may spur action. Smoking contributes significantly to the visible signs of aging. Finally, some patients are motivated to stop smoking for their partner or children. Imagine the pride they will when you leave and how you will feel good about yourself. How to Kick the Habit

Once you know why you stopped smoking, it is time to make a plan. Set a date and stop buying cigarettes (as a bonus, you save about $ 2,500 per year). Then make a list of all the things you can do when a cigarette desire strikes. It could be called a friend, go for walks, play with your pets or children, prepare meals, go shopping, washing the car or chewing gum. Everything is permitted if it works for you. In addition to distract you from your cravings, try natural strategies following:

3) Pop a mint – Keep a supply of peppermints on hand. Sucking on mints keeps your mouth and gives you a fresh taste instead of bad breath that comes with smoking.
4) Get Acupuncture – There are some evidence that this treatment can help cravings stop smoking.
5) Try oat extract – A study showed that 1 ml taken four times a day reduced cigarette consumption. Are the health and natural food stores.
6) Add your Cash – Put the money you spend on cigarettes in a jar on your bedside table. A visible reminder of the money you can spend a spa or a fancy dinner can be very motivating.
