Body awareness Hypnosis Rapid Induction
I read an article by Selig Finkelstein, 2003 in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis entitled "Rapid hypnotic inductions and therapeutic suggestions in the Dental Setting" which I found extremely interesting as it charts a number of evidence-based rapid hypnosis inductions. Although the article is to benefit from dentists who want induce hypnosis quickly, I thought I would point out one way that Finkelstein suggests inducing hypnosis quickly.
It is called the induction of somatic awareness and the paper itself has a complete script for such an induction process that you can go read for yourself (If you subscribe to the magazine).
Somatic awareness is rooted in mindfulness and other related areas, if there is a field of somatic psychology all parts of its own in existence today. The principle (and I realize how difficult it is unsatisfactory to a field full in a short sentence on a media blog!) is to examine the relationship between the individual and his body was clean. Awareness of how physiologically the body is experienced is examined.
Nevertheless, the induction of hypnosis uses suggested by Finkelstein body awareness by asking the customer a number of issues that raise awareness accordingly. For example, "Can you notice how your relaxation increases when you exhale? "Or you could also ask" the right hand does feel like she is lying on your leg or you feel that if it is supported by leg? "It can be developed in matters of increasingly sophisticated and complex too, like" make right and left legs feel the weight your hands too, or is there a difference? "
The script is longer, but I particularly like the induction of hypnosis, because it causes the absorption, internal focus and responsiveness hypnotic within the customer in a fast while maintaining a fairly permissive tone and style, is not as direct as many rapid inductions tend to be.
I really just like that. There are many versions of this same thing out there in the books of script, but it is always good see these things in magazines.
